Approximately 45 % of the land in Baakleen is
agricultural land. Among its major cash crops are olives and grapes.
Many other types of fruits and vegetables such as apple, pear, cherry, tomato,
cucumber, lettuce, parsley, mint, varied beans, eggplant, fig, and peach are
grown for local consumption.
A few local dairy producers still supply homes with fresh milk daily from the
